Italian Influences
Take a journey to Italy with Tchaikovsky’s iconic Souvenir de Florence, a string sextet composed in 1890 and dedicated to the St. Petersburg Chamber Music Society of which he became an Honorary Member. Also in the program are Maurice Ravel’s dynamic Sonata for Violin and Cello and Hugo Wolf’s playful Italian Serenade.
