To celebrate its 10th anniversary season, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chamber Music Society presents its most ambitious production yet: Igor Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale, a thrilling work that blends live chamber music, dramatic narration, dance, and puppetry into one unforgettable theatrical experience.
Based on a Russian folk tale, it follows a soldier lured by the Devil into exchanging his most prized possession for the promise of wealth and power, only to discover that some losses cannot be undone.
Featuring world-class musicians, Hollywood actor and narrator Keisuke Hoashi, a life-size puppet, and a cast of dancers and performers directed by Wyoming Seminary’s Jason Sherry and choreographed by Bernardine Vojtko, this is a rare opportunity to experience a landmark work of 20th-century music theater, right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Admission is free, but seating is limited. Reserve your seats today to guarantee your spot at this one-night-only community event.
