The Heart of Chamber Music in Northeastern Pennsylvania

Celebrating ten seasons of music-making, mentorship, and meaningful connection in the community.

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Chamber Music Society launches its tenth anniversary season with a powerful program of string quartets. Beethoven’s dramatic Opus 18 Number 4, featured in NEPACMS’s very first concert in 2015, returns alongside Smetana’s autobiographical “From My Life,” written as he grappled with deafness, and Shostakovich’s haunting Seventh Quartet, composed in the shadow of personal grief. These works trace a compelling journey through memory, emotion, and resilience.
