NEPACMS proudly presents its season finale with two extraordinary chamber masterpieces: Fauré’s Second Piano Quartet and Brahms’ First Piano Quartet. Known for its fiery, electrifying conclusion, the Brahms quartet is a stunning blend of strength and tenderness, making it one of the most thrilling works in the chamber music repertoire. Fauré’s quartet, in contrast, exudes a refined passion, weaving subtle expressivity into what Aaron Copland described as “intensity on a background of calm.” Don’t miss this unforgettable evening of musical brilliance!
Audiences for the May 17 concert at St. Stephen’s will also enjoy a post-intermission showcase of the 2024-2025 NEPACMS Young Apprentice Program featuring selections from their repertoire.
