Join us for a special concert featuring the music of
Baljinder Sekhon. Praised as “Clearly knowing the power of sonority” by the
Philadelphia Inquirer, Sekhon’s works have garnered much acclaim especially for his pioneering works for the saxophone and percussion. Performing these works will be the saxophone and guitar duo, Duo Montagnard (
Joseph Murphy, saxophone, and
Matthew Slotkin, guitar). Formed in 2002, the duo has performed over 300 concerts in all 50 states, 8 Canadian Provinces, and 20 countries on 6 continents. They have commissioned and premiered forty pieces and have recorded five albums.
