To celebrate its 10th anniversary season, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chamber Music Society presents its most ambitious production yet: Igor Stravinsky’s L’Histoire du Soldat (The Soldier’s Tale), a thrilling work that blends live chamber music, dramatic narration, dance, and puppetry into one unforgettable theatrical experience.

A soldier trades his violin to the Devil in exchange for a book of infinite wealth…but at what cost? This timeless story of temptation, loss, and redemption comes to life on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Kirby Center for Creative Arts in Kingston, PA.

Featuring world-class musicians, Hollywood actor and narrator Keisuke Hoashi, and a cast of dancers and performers directed by Wyoming Seminary’s Jason Sherry and choreographed by Bernardine Vojtko, this is a rare opportunity to experience a landmark work of 20th-century music theater, right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Admission is free, but seating is limited. Reserve your seats today to guarantee your spot at this one-night-only community event.
