DESCRIPTION:To celebrate its 10th anniversary season\, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Chamber Music Society presents its most ambitious production yet: Igor Stravinsky’s The Soldier’s Tale\, a thrilling work that blends live chamber music\, dramatic narration\, dance\, and puppetry into one unforgettable theatrical experience. \nBased on a Russian folk tale\, it follows a soldier lured by the Devil into exchanging his most prized possession for the promise of wealth and power\, only to discover that some losses cannot be undone. \nFeaturing world-class musicians\, Hollywood actor and narrator Keisuke Hoashi\, a life-size puppet\, and a cast of dancers and performers directed by Wyoming Seminary’s Jason Sherry and choreographed by Bernardine Vojtko\, this is a rare opportunity to experience a landmark work of 20th-century music theater\, right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. \nAdmission is free\, but seating is limited.
