DESCRIPTION:Brahms\, still early in his career\, steps into artistic maturity with the Piano Quartet in A Major\, weaving expansive lyricism with quiet introspection. Bridge’s Phantasy for Piano Quartet captures the final glow of Romanticism\, poised just before his shift toward modernist color. Kodály\, a student beginning to travel and collect folk melodies\, lets the voice of his homeland guide him toward a distinct musical identity in his Intermezzo.
